How would I:
1. Open a web page.
2. Sign it, perhaps by sending it to myself with PGP/MIME.
3. Save it as an .eml file, complete with signed attachments.
4. Publish it. (I know this part).

The purpose would be to sign HTML in a way that authenticates
automatically,
when a user called up Thunderbird or SeaMonkey with enigmail installed
by clicking on a link to an e-mail file on the web.

Hi, "Bohgosity"

As you can probably see, this is no longer an active newsgroup.
This group was officially abandoned 5 years ago.

People have moved to the mozilla.* groups on the news server news.mozilla.org.

Okay. I will just cross-post to both groups. Maybe it the group is on
my server. If it's not, then hopefully Thunderbird can make the
cross-post to different servers.
There are no official copies of ,mozilla.support.thunderbird on
other NNTP news servers. Some servers take unauthorized copies, but
posts to those servers will not appear on the news.mozilla.org server
where everyone is.

Seamonkey questions should be asked in mozilla.support.seamonkey.
Same caveat applies.
